The sprawling metropolis of Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina. Located on the southeastern coast of South America on the banks of the Rio de la Planta it is home to over 13 million people making it the second largest metropolitan area (after Sao Paulo) on the South American continent. The name means 'Fair Winds' or 'Good Air', names that aptly describe this city with its many magnificent Buenos Aires Five Star Hotels, tourist attractions and legendary nightlife.

The inhabitants of this vibrant dynamic city that never sleeps are predominantly Spanish speaking Catholics but with many other religions represented. The climate is humid and subtropical with very high rainfall and guests to Buenos hotels should be prepared for rain all year round. Summers are very hot and winters pleasantly cool although cold fronts can be expected.

Buenos Aires is a perfect city for visitors to use as a base to explore the rest of Argentina. Perfect day trips or weekend getaways for guests to Buenos Aires Five Star Hotels include Capilla del Senor, a quaint old town with historic steam train, El Tigre, a town up-river where visitors can get on boats to explore river habitats further up as well as the gastronomic haven, Carlos Keen.

Buenos Aires luxury hotels are representative of the rich architectural heritage of the city with an eclectic European mix of styles that would not be out of place in Barcelona or Paris. Many older hotels reflect Spanish, Italian and French influences with baroque and Neo-classical styles in contrast to the many modern skyscrapers that now dominate the city skyline.

The many Buenos Aires Five Star Hotels are located throughout the city providing easy access to the famous Tango schools, restaurants and cafes allowing guests to absorb the rich culture of a fabulous unique city. The stunning Teatro Colon, one of the world's greatest opera houses, Tango shows, museums that record the interesting and varied past, Botanical Gardens, zoo and annual International Book Fair are all experiences not to be missed by any guests to Buenos Aires Five Star Hotels. Stunning views are provided by balconies or large windows of the city skyline, the river or overlook stunning parks and walled gardens.

The Avenida Alvear is full of Buenos Aires Five Star Hotels and Embassies while the famous Florida Street is a downtown elegant pedestrian arcade that offers fantastic shopping opportunities. Many other fabulous neighborhoods showcase Buenos Aires's Art Deco office blocks, docklands, 19th century architecture and restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Guests will find an array of exquisitely decorated guest rooms in Bidermaier style, Belle-Epoch style or of 16th century French design, to mention but a few. Object's d'art and original paintings by Argentinean artists adorn guest rooms giving them a sophisticated air and ensuring that each room or suite is unique. Carpets, luxurious fabrics and a warm palate of colors provide elegance while marble bathrooms with wonderful complimentary toiletries, bathrobes and slippers provide the ultimate space to relax and unwind. Deluxe suites with separate living areas and bedrooms are specially designed for business guests who need to use their rooms for small business meetings.

Some of the best restaurants are to be found in these properties. Special mention must be made of the award winning The Grill at the Marriott Plaza Hotel which is considered by many to be the best restaurant in the city. Traditional Argentinean cuisine includes the largest and most tender beef streaks. However, in-house restaurants serve an array of international cuisine with Italian, Spanish, fusion, sushi and even vegetarian cuisine being popular choices. Sophisticated, brilliantly decorated romantic restaurants are perfect for dinner for two while outside terraces, courtyards and inner atriums are perfect for casual dining and allow guests to take advantage of the glorious climate.

Many recreational opportunities are offered by Buenos Aires hotels. Deluxe spas with therapeutic massages and all over body treatments combining ancient remedies with modern techniques will help guests to relax and unwind. Fitness centers with modern exercise equipment, saunas, whirlpools and steam baths and large swimming pools are all very popular while tennis courts, driving ranges and golf courses are located close by.

Banquet halls, spacious meeting rooms with all the modern audio-visual equipment and ballrooms all add to the vibrant character of the hotels. They provide the perfect venue for any function, whether corporate or private and will delight with their magnificent decor and fine attention to detail.

Buenos Aires Five Star Hotels provide luxurious accommodation in fine style and are tourist attractions in their own right. Providing easy access to both business districts and many leisure opportunities, they are the first choice for all guests to this magical city.
